Mulkirigala is an ancient rock Temple, there are tunnels with narrow steps and hidden walk ways, and beautiful caves decorated with paintings and statues of Buddha in varying poses, it's a place of worship - a spiritual sanctuary with unbelievable views.
This is where we took the Talalla ladies, and their beautiful children on a pilgrimage, at the end of SS 2010 production. An excursion is the perfect way to show our thanks after all their wonderful work in the previous months and they love being able to show us some of the culture and beauty of Sri Lanka.
The rock is just a short distance from Talalla but many of the ladies would have only been once in their lives, and for the kids their first time ever - they were absolutely thrilled, their gorgeous beaming faces and little hands proudly clutching lotus flowers as an offering to Buddha.
Like many of our experiences around Talalla Bay, this day was simply MAGICAL, the ladies were so humble and thankful, and we were proud for the opportunity to take them … another example of why KissinCussin is a label made with love
